Azets Wealth Management has finalized an agreement to acquire Laurus Associates Limited, a well-established Chartered Financial Planning firm. This strategic move strengthens Azets’ specialist expertise in investments, pensions, and financial planning.
Founded in 2002 by Karen Barwick and Colin Dawson, Laurus Associates has built a strong reputation for delivering tailored financial advice to both individuals and businesses. The firm specializes in trust planning, auto-enrolment, investment portfolios, pension property purchases, and employee benefits advice. As one of the first financial planning firms in the North East to achieve Chartered status in 2009, Laurus Associates is trusted by clients with complex financial needs.
Following the acquisition, Laurus Associates’ clients will continue receiving the same high-quality advice and support, with added access to Azets’ broader range of financial services and expertise.
This deal marks another key milestone for Azets Wealth Management, which operates across the UK, including key hubs in the North East and Scotland. It follows Azets’ recent acquisition of Milne Craig, a wealth management and chartered accountancy firm based in Glasgow.
As part of the transition, Karen, Colin, and the Laurus Associates team will join Azets Wealth Management, gaining new career opportunities while aligning with Azets’ people-first culture.
