In an exciting new partnership, Mediobanca, the renowned Italian investment bank, has teamed up with Founders Factory, a prominent global company builder and early-stage investor based in London. Together, they are set to embark on an ambitious journey, injecting €12 million into a fintech venture studio and accelerator.
The joint venture, spearheaded by Mediobanca and Founders Factory, aims to nurture and invest in 35 fintech businesses over the next five years. The focus will be on supporting startups that excel in cutting-edge technologies, including blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI).
As part of this groundbreaking collaboration, Founders Factory and Mediobanca will also launch an accelerator program geared towards backing more established early-stage fintech ventures, both within Italy and on the international stage.
This strategic move represents a significant step forward in fostering innovation within the fintech industry, as Mediobanca and Founders Factory combine their expertise and resources to drive the growth and success of pioneering fintech startups. The new initiative is expected to make a substantial impact on the global fintech landscape, fostering ground breaking solutions that revolutionize the financial sector.
The partnership with Founders Factory fits into Mediobanca’s 2023-26 “ONE BRAND – ONE CULTURE” Strategic Plan, which envisages a significant strengthening of the firm’s technology ecosystem.
