Jordan Ahli Bank proudly unveils Qawn, an innovative social payment app that transforms the way users send and receive money while integrating built-in chat capabilities. Available for download on Android and iPhone devices, Qawn caters to both individuals and merchants, offering a wide range of cutting-edge financial services.
Qawn introduces a groundbreaking feature by partnering with CliQ, a local payment switch in Jordan, allowing businesses to accept payments at reduced costs. Moreover, the app enables Jordanians to effortlessly open bank accounts remotely, eliminating the need to visit a branch, thanks to a streamlined onboarding process that takes just five minutes to complete.
Powered by Thought Machine’s cloud-native core banking platform, Vault Core, Qawn leverages its Universal Product Engine to provide financial institutions with the flexibility to build and launch tailored financial products. The app operates in real time and seamlessly integrates with other top-tier technology platforms via APIs.
Nidal Khalifeh, Chief Innovation Officer at Jordan Ahli Bank, elaborated on Qawn’s vision, stating, “Our goal is to foster prosperity among individuals by creating a socially-driven financial experience that addresses real-life challenges through cutting-edge technology. Money is inherently social, and we aim to revolutionize digital money with a social focus. Qawn is designed to offer secure, user-friendly features while providing guidance with a strong emphasis on technology.”
Qawn’s user-centric approach allows individuals to effortlessly send and receive money, request payments through chat, or utilize QR (Quick Response) scanning for seamless financial management. With support for both Arabic and English languages, Qawn is accessible to a diverse user base.
Dr. Ahmad Alhussien, CEO of Jordan Ahli Bank, emphasized their commitment to enhancing users’ financial experiences and wealth by guiding them towards prosperity and growth. He stated, “Our brand strategy centers around honesty, transparency, and actively addressing real-life issues by listening to our users.”
Paul Taylor, CEO and founder of Thought Machine, expressed his delight in partnering with Jordan Ahli Bank, highlighting the shared vision for the future of financial services. He stated, “There is a tremendous opportunity to revolutionize financial services across the Middle East by leveraging modern technology. The introduction of Qawn is just the beginning, and we eagerly anticipate expanding our partnership with Jordan Ahli Bank to introduce further innovative financial solutions in Jordan and the wider MENA region.”
