Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) and Thunes have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at transforming cross-border payments for individuals and businesses in Saudi Arabia. The agreement, signed at SIBOS 2025, will allow BSF customers to access faster, more reliable, and more efficient international money transfer services.
Through this collaboration, BSF account holders will be able to send money directly to bank accounts and digital wallets worldwide with real-time processing and improved accessibility. The initiative supports Saudi Arabia’s financial modernization efforts, offering alternatives to traditional remittance channels.
Majed Alsadhan, Chief Wholesale Banking Officer at Banque Saudi Fransi, emphasized the significance of the partnership:
“By leveraging Thunes’ trusted Direct Global Network, we are now able to deliver faster, more secure, and more accessible remittance services. This alliance reflects our mission to serve both individuals and businesses, while contributing to the Kingdom’s vision of becoming a leading digital economy.”
Simon Nelson of Thunes also highlighted the company’s commitment to Saudi Arabia:
“This collaboration reinforces our dedication to the Kingdom, where we continue to deepen relationships with banks, fintechs, and wallets. The trust we have built positions us to play a vital role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey.”
The bank fintech partnership is expected to drive financial inclusion, enhance digital adoption, and make global money transfers more seamless for BSF’s growing customer base.
